چکیده

Cichorium intybus L. (Asteraceae) is one of the most widely used medicinal plants globally. The plant species great economic interest due to its high content secondary metabolites. present study was performed compare GC/MS-based metabolic profiles and total phenolic micropropagated wild-growing plants. An optimized protocol for in vitro multiplication C. using stem segments from raised seedlings developed. optimum nutrient media were found be MS medium supplemented with 1 mg/L BAP 0.1 NAA fortified 4PU-30 NAA, giving an average 9.2±0.47 7.1±0.41 shoots per explant, respectively. phenylurea cytokinin 4PU-30, first chicory micropropagation, effectively promoted regeneration prevented hyperhydricity tissue. Microshoots rooted successfully half-strength free growth regulators. All hardened survived transfer ex conditions. No differences between those multiplied acclimated controlled field A quantitative difference obtained some individual metabolites: esculetin quinic acid higher samples plants, while chlorogenic more abundant

Phytochemical and Biological Evaluation of Cichorium intybus L. Seeds

In this study, we aim to demonstrate, separately, the hepatoprotective activity of the total ethanolic extract as well as the defatted ethanolic extract of Cichorium intybus L., using adult Wister albino rats (120-170 g) as the experimental animals. The total as well as the defatted alcoholic extracts of Cichorium intybus L., seeds possess significant hepatoprotective activity; which may be att...
